
Harvey began his career as a comic. The 1980s were when Harvey performed stand-up comedy as well as hosted Showtime at the Apollo as and The Steve Harvey Show (The WWB). Steve Harvey Global is an entertainment and media firm that is the home of East 112 as well as various other businesses. Harvey also founded Family Feud Africa and was an investor in Anthem Sports and Entertainment's acquisition of HDNet. Marjorie Harvey as well as Steve Harvey are co-founders of the Steve and Marjorie Harvey Foundation. This nonprofit organization is focused on youth education. Harvey is a Daytime Emmy Award recipient seven times, a two-time Marconi Award nominee, and 14-time NAACP Image Award recipient in different categories.
